Charlie Winter

Charlie Winter is the Chief Research Officer at ExTrac, an intelligence platform focused on tracking conflict events and adversarial information activities. Since co-founding ExTrac in 2020, Charlie has leveraged a decade of experience in academic roles across the US and UK, studying the drivers of violent extremism. Their research has received support from notable organizations, including the Global Internet Forum for Counter-Terrorism and the US Department of Homeland Security. Charlie has published two books, *The ISIS Reader* (2020) and *The Terrorist Image* (2022), and holds a Ph.D. from King’s College London.
