James Lucas, CPA, CFP® has over 22 years of experience in various roles within the financial industry. James began their career in 1996 and has gained experience with mutual fund investment companies, insurance company investments, and banking organizations. Their expertise includes mutual fund accounting, investment operations, equity and fixed income analysis, mutual fund portfolio management, high-net worth financial planning and investment allocation, and institutional asset management. In 2018, they joined Extraco Banks as the Executive Vice President, Senior Accounting & Investment Manager.

James then pursued further education at the University of Houston, where they earned an MBA in Finance in 2001.
