John C. Shoemaker

John C. Shoemaker is the Chairman of the Board at Extreme Networks. John has held this position since December 2010. Prior to that, they were the Chairman of SonicWALL from January 2004 to December 2010. John has also been a Board of Director for Altera Corporation from March 2007 to January 2016.

Shoemaker began their career in April 1969 as a Senior Vice President at Xerox Corporation. John then moved to Sun Microsystems, Inc. in January 1989 and retired as the EVP and General Manager Computer Systems in December 2002. From there, they became a Director and/or Advisor to startups for companies such as NYRIAD, GoodSocial, TalentSky, Conformative Systems, Astute Networks, and NOSTRA.

Shoemaker has a long history of representing the best interests of shareholders and ensuring compliance with all government regulations. John currently resides in California.

John C. Shoemaker attended Hanover College, where they earned a BA in Liberal Arts. John then attended Indiana University - Kelley School of Business, where they earned an MBA in Finance and General Mgt. John also holds a Doctor of Humane Letters from Indiana University Bloomington.
