Kai Chen is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in system software development, particularly in wireless communications. Currently serving as a Staff System Software Engineer at Extreme Networks since May 2023, Kai has previously held significant roles at Qualcomm, including Staff Software Engineer, where notable contributions included implementing device drivers for various QCA chipsets and developing the monitor mode feature for OTA packet capture. With a career spanning over two decades, Kai has also worked with Atheros Communications, SAI Technology, Ubicom, Palm Inc., Marvell, DoOnGo Inc., Ericsson, and Philips Consumer Communication, focusing on areas such as firmware design, protocol implementation, and mobile device software solutions.
