Fenella has worked with China for over 20 years. A gap year spent in China turned her understanding of the world upside down and fed her curiosity and interest ever since.
With a deep knowledge of China, she builds trust and finds solutions, working with partners to deliver. She believes there are commercial, cultural and deeply human advantages to building understanding between Britain and China, and China and the world, and she shares her knowledge to help people to see China more clearly.
Fenella has lived and worked in Beijing, Hangzhou, Hong Kong and New York, as well as on a container ship across the Pacific, and has spent time working at the China-Britain Business Council in London, working closely with the UK government and industry leading on retail and tourism, cultural and creative sectors.
Beyond China, she has worked in branding and new business for WPP in New York and London and for an agent of the Economist Group.
After a decade of globetrotting she came back to the UK because there is nowhere finer. She has twice climbed China’s famous Yellow Mountain, and would like to explore more of China’s Five Great and Four Sacred Mountains. Her happy place is up a mountain or in the sea.
