Ben Matai

Ben Matai is an experienced HR professional with a robust background in various leadership roles within the mining and resources sectors. Currently serving as Group Manager HR Coal and Minerals at Exxaro Resources, Ben has previously held significant positions including Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Affairs at Sasol Mining, General Manager of Human Resources at Komatsu Africa Holdings, and Senior Manager of Labour Relations for the Continental Africa Region at AngloGold Ashanti. Beginning a career at Anglo American, Ben progressed from a Graduate Trainee to Employee Relations Manager. Ben holds a Master in Business Administration with a focus on Strategy and Finance from the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School, and an Honours degree in Labour Relations and HR from the University of Nelson Mandela Metro.
