Group Manager Corporate Innovation at Exxaro Mining

Elaine Hattingh possesses over a decade of experience in various managerial and specialist roles at Exxaro Resources, culminating in the position of Group Manager Corporate Innovation, where Elaine led the successful launch of the Digital@Exxaro program aimed at driving digitisation within the company. Prior responsibilities included establishing the Business of Tomorrow department to innovate in the water, energy, and agricultural sectors, as well as serving as a production geologist and spatial specialist in both coal and heavy mineral sands. In addition to current directorial duties at Hattingh HoldCo, an investment firm supporting SMEs, Elaine has experience as a business owner in the health and fitness sector through the Curves franchise, alongside academic contributions as an external moderator at the University of the Witwatersrand.
