Bram Willemsen

Bram Willemsen, PhD, serves as the Team Lead for Seismic Processing at ExxonMobil, overseeing the Americas seismic processing group and supporting CO2 sequestration and oil and gas projects since April 2017. Prior roles include Monitoring Lead for Carbon Capture & Sequestration (CCS), where Bram developed monitoring plans for ExxonMobil's first operated CCS project, and a CCS Monitoring Researcher, conducting research on carbon sequestration fundamentals and establishing workflows for time-lapse seismic evaluations. Earlier experience encompasses roles such as Geophysicist in the time-lapse seismic group and Research Geophysicist, focusing on Full Waveform Inversion. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Geophysics and Seismology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, along with master's and bachelor's degrees from Luleå University of Technology and Utrecht University, respectively.
