Corey Smith

Corey Smith has a strong background in the oil and gas industry, beginning with a Petroleum Engineering internship at Bold Energy III, LLC in 2016. Smith progressed to various engineering roles, including Field Engineer II positions at Keane Group and NexTier Oilfield Solutions, where responsibilities included assisting in hydraulic fracturing operations and quality control of pumping fluids. Following that, Smith served as a NexHub Data Analyst at NexTier Completion Solutions, transitioning to an Analytics Engineer position before moving to ExxonMobil as a Data Scientist in 2024. Smith holds a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering from Penn State University, with a 3.8 GPA, and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Data Science at The University of Texas at Austin.
