Cynthia Wagener

Cynthia Wagener is a highly experienced Principal Water Resources Engineer at ExxonMobil, where responsibilities include serving as an environmental regulatory advisor and coordinating the company's water focus area within the Sustainability Organization. With a comprehensive background in wastewater treatment and waste management, Cynthia held the role of Global Discipline Technology Leader, overseeing global strategy and technical operations while also providing on-site oversight at the Baton Rouge Refinery and Chemicals complex. Previous roles include Industrial Wastewater Engineer at URS Corporation, leading environmental projects and improvements across diverse industries, and a Research Fellow at Louisiana State University, where research on nitrification kinetics was conducted under the Fulbright Program. Cynthia holds a Master’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering from Louisiana State University and has completed PhD studies in Environmental Engineering.
