Melvyn Yong

Melvyn Yong is an experienced professional in process control and automation, currently serving as Control Applications Group Lead at ExxonMobil since December 2017. Prior to this, Melvyn held various roles at SHELL MDS SDN. BHD. and Shell Jurong Island, where key achievements included improving plant operational performance and significantly reducing alarm rates. Melvyn began a career in engineering as a Process Control Engineer and completed a student internship at PETRONAS RESEARCH SDN. BHD. Additionally, Melvyn holds a Master of Business Administration from Xiamen University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Petronas.
