Kabelo Leeka

Kabelo Leeka is an accomplished business professional with extensive experience in the mining and metals sector. Currently serving as the Mining & Metals Business Consulting OE Practice Lead for EY in North America since April 2025, Kabelo focuses on driving operational improvements and cost performance while ensuring safety. Prior experience includes leading asset management transformation initiatives at Rio Tinto from July 2019 to May 2025, where Kabelo held roles such as Program Lead and Senior Manager within the Office of the COO, contributing to enhancing operational excellence. Additionally, Kabelo acted as General Manager Productivity and Senior Manager Productivity at Rio Tinto Minerals, responsible for implementing productivity enhancements and strategic changes. Early career experience includes a project management role at Anglo American. Kabelo holds an MBA from the University of Pretoria, a leadership qualification from GIBS Business School, and a BSc(Eng) in Metallurgy and Materials from the University of the Witwatersrand.
