Mathias Matthies

Mathias Matthies has over 28 years of experience in finance, having served as a Partner and Group CFO Controlling at EY from November 2008 to July 2022. In this role, Mathias led the global Controlling function, providing finance services to EY’s global entities and governance bodies. As EMEIA CFO, Mathias acted as a strategic advisor to the Area Leadership team, coordinating finance processes with a focus on Analytics, Planning, and Closing. Mathias also held the CFO position for the GSA region, serving as a trusted advisor to the Region Managing Partner. Prior to EY, Mathias worked at Arthur Andersen for nine years, gaining diverse finance experience, including running Finance and Administration for several Central European countries and leading Controlling functions in the Nordics.
