Paula Ruffell

Paula Ruffell is a Director in Tax Controversy and Risk Management at EY, where Paula helps clients navigate and resolve complex disputes with HMRC while proactively minimizing future conflicts. With nearly 15 years of experience in dispute resolution, including 9 years as a Solicitor at HMRC, Paula has a deep understanding of tax investigations and litigation. Paula previously served as a Senior Associate at Baker McKenzie and held various roles at HMRC, where Paula provided legal advice on a range of tax-related issues. An advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, Paula is actively involved in the EY Women's Network and has chaired the EY Voice initiative. Paula holds degrees from Oxford University and BPP, as well as coaching qualifications from The Coaching Academy.
