Shailen Ramgoolam

Shailen Ramgoolam is the EY East and Southern Africa Consulting Leader, having begun their career in external audit at Price Waterhouse in London and Marseille before transitioning to consulting in Mauritius. With expertise in governance, risk management, and process improvement, they have worked in over 35 countries across six continents. Currently, Shailen leads a team of 250 professionals at EY, advising clients including Shell, BP, and the Government of Papua New Guinea. They played a pivotal role in drafting the Mauritius Code of Corporate Governance and are active in regional corporate governance initiatives. Shailen is also passionate about travel and photography, enjoying capturing moments of discovery.
