Tara Ferris

Tara Ferris is a highly experienced tax attorney currently serving as a Principal at EY since April 2016. Previously, Tara held the position of Senior Counsel at the Internal Revenue Service in the Office of Chief Counsel (International) from July 2015 to April 2016, and contributed as an Advisor at the OECD on the Common Reporting Standard prior to that. Tara has extensive expertise in drafting regulations and notices related to FATCA while working at the IRS and has notable experience from roles at PwC and the U.S. Tax Court, focusing on tax law, compliance, and advisory matters. Tara earned an LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center and a J.D. from Chapman University Fowler School of Law, complementing a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from UC Santa Barbara.
