Sophie Turrell

Sophie Turrell has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Sophie currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Eye Care Leaders and the Health Care Leaders Group, where they oversee the provision of electronic medical record and practice management software to ophthalmology and optometry providers. Sophie also manages businesses providing revenue cycle management, marketing, and consulting services. Prior to this, Sophie worked as the Chief of Staff at Global Growth Holdings.

In 2021, Sophie held the position of Director and Head of Business Development for Walmart GoLocal at Walmart eCommerce. During their time at Uber from 2016 to 2021, they worked as a Senior Manager in Global Business Development for Uber Eats, where they negotiated and closed contracts with major food delivery partners globally and managed partnerships with restaurant chains.

From 2014 to 2016, Sophie worked in Business Development at Palantir Technologies, where they led a team that implemented a military contract and secured new pilot deals for the company's software platform. Sophie also has experience as the Director of Finance and Operations at The Oakleaf Group from 2011 to 2012.

Sophie began their career as a Health Policy Project Manager at the Office of the Former U.S. Assistant Surgeon General, where they secured grant funding for public health policy research projects and recruited academic experts to participate.

Sophie Turrell has a diverse education history. In 2005, they attended Yale University and obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Comparative Literature in 2008. Following that, they enrolled in the University of California, Berkeley's Postbaccalaureate Pre-medical Program from 2009 to 2010. Sophie then pursued further education at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, where they completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree between 2012 and 2014.

In addition to their academic achievements, Sophie also holds a certification as a Certified Flight Instructor. Sophie obtained this certification in August 2014 from the Federal Aviation Administration.
