Doug Vermillion

Doug Vermillion has had a diverse range of work experience. From 2014 to present, they have been the Director, Applied Optix at EYE Lighting International, where they lead growth initiatives for the scientific and industrial applied lighting system division. Prior to that, from 2013 to 2014, they were the Director of Sales at Silent Power Inc. From 1991 to 2012, they worked at Sensus, starting as a District Manager and eventually becoming a Sales Director and then a Market Development Manager. During their time at Sensus, they significantly expanded sales of smart grid products, growing sales from $1.5M to $6M and leading the company in new smart grid system sales from 1992-1995.

Doug Vermillion has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Doug also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Business, Management, Marketing, and related support services from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management. In addition to their academic background, Doug has also earned a Lighting Certification (LC) from the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions (NCQLP) in January 2017.
