Eye to Eye National
Peter Cheney is an accomplished professional with diverse experience in leadership, mediation, and sports medicine. Currently serving as Director at The FARM At UNC, Peter manages around 60 elementary school-aged children, overseeing registration, aftercare scheduling, and daily activities. As Co-Chapter Leader for Eye to Eye National, Peter contributes to inclusive education initiatives. Previous experience includes interning as a student mediator within the Consumer Frauds Bureau at the Office of the New York State Attorney General, assisting in resolving financial disputes, and working as a Sports Medicine Student Aide at Connecticut College, ensuring athlete safety and supporting medical staff. Peter's earlier roles include serving as a Summer Camp Counselor at Marion Recreation and guiding campus tours at Tabor Academy. Peter is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Government, Psychology, and History at Connecticut College, with a solid educational foundation from Tabor Academy and Williston Northampton School.

Eye to Eye National
Eye to Eye is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the educational experiences and outcomes of students with learning and attention differences. Our near-peer mentoring program focuses on pairing middle school or high school/college students in an art room setting. Eye to Eye's in-person curriculum emphasizes critical social-emotional skills like metacognition and self-esteem, giving students self-awareness and confidence, traits that drive academic and life success. This spring, Eye to Eye will be launching a club-based model for high school and college students to promote community, advocacy, and leadership, as well as professional learning workshops for educators to help them best support their students in the classroom.
