Gillian McDermott has extensive experience in editorial leadership within the medical communication field, currently serving as Editor-in-Chief of Clinical Content for Anterior Segment at Bryn Mawr Communications since May 2002. In this role, Gillian drives collaboration with thought leaders and team members to develop clinical scientific content for various BMC Vision brands. Previous titles include Acting Editor-in-Chief for Practical Dermatology and Modern Aesthetics, and Editor-in-Chief for Glaucoma Today, Cataract & Refractive Surgery Today, and Advanced Ocular Care, showcasing a strong track record in launching and overseeing multiple publications. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Editor at Review Of Ophthalmology from October 1998 to April 2002.
