Ramiro Ribeiro, MD, PhD, currently serves as Chief Medical Officer at EyePoint Pharmaceuticals since March 2024. Previously, Ramiro held the position of VP, Head of Clinical Development at Apellis Pharmaceuticals from February 2018 to March 2024, leading clinical development programs in Ophthalmology, Hematology, and Nephrology. Additional roles include Senior Medical Director at Acucela Inc., Director of Drug Safety at Ophthotech, Ideation Project Head at Alcon, Director of Clinical and Medical Affairs at Replenish, Inc., Director of Clinical and Medical Affairs at Xcelerator Labs, Clinical Research Project Manager at 1Co, Inc., and Ophthalmologist at the Eye Clinic of Castro. Ramiro’s extensive academic background includes a Ph.D. from Unifesp - Universidade Federal de São Paulo, an Ophthalmology residency, and a Doctor of Medicine degree from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná.
