Kathy Shea

Kathy Shea is the current Chief Financial Officer at EyeSouth Partners. Kathy has over twenty years of experience in the finance industry, with a focus on healthcare.

Shea started their career at Vein Clinics of America, where they served as the Chief Financial Officer from March 2021 to February 2022. In this role, they were responsible for leading the company's consolidation of vein services. Financial sponsors included Frazier Healthcare and Bain. Key areas of improvement that Shea drove results in included finance, revenue cycle, supply chain, accounting, payer contracting and stakeholder management.

Kathy then went on to serve as the Chief Financial Officer at EyeCare Partners from March 2017 to January 2021. EyeCare Partners is a high growth provider of primary and specialty vision care with approximately $1B in revenues. Through the acquisition and integration of optometry & ophthalmology practices and ambulatory surgery centers, EyeCare Partners, supported by 5000+ employees and owned by a private equity sponsor, brings marketing and operational best practices to drive significant growth to its practices.

As Chief Financial Officer, Shea was responsible for aligning the finance, revenue cycle, supply chain and procurement functions to support the company's significant growth. During their time at EyeCare Partners, Shea successfully implemented automation and data-driven tools in the purchasing and finance teams to improve accuracy, analysis, monthly close cycles and enable rapid acquisition integration. In 2020, they successfully sold the company for $2.2 billion to Partners Group.

Kathy Shea has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management in Finance and Marketing and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and French from Smith College.

Kathy Shea reports to Rex Adams, Chief Executive Officer. They are on a team with Latonya Izzard - COO, Jason Shafer - Chief Development Officer, and Candice Davis - VP of Revenue Cycle Management.
