Francine founded Eyevensys in December 2008, after serving, from 2013 to 2016, as chief medical officer of the Gonin Lausanne Ophthalmology Hospital in Switzerland. She is Professor of Ophthalmology at Paris Descartes University (France), Head of the Department of Ophthalmology of Hôtel-Dieu – University of Paris Descartes Hospital, and Director of the Physiopathology of Ocular Diseases lab at the Cordeliers INSERM Centre. She has authored more than 164 publications since 1999. Very entrepreneurially oriented, Francine also founded Eyegate Pharma in 1997.
