Nahum Ferera has held various roles in the medical, technology, and defense industries since 2001. From 2001-2007, they served as Commander of a field communication unit in the Israel Defense Forces, where they were responsible for the direct command of 40 soldiers, teaching and training the division on computers and communication, and managing and supporting the base-net. From 2007-2011, they worked at Physical Logic as a Project Manager and Bio Medical Engineer, leading the R&D team in developing a noninvasive glucose monitoring device, managing and coordinating a full clinical trial, and working with subcontractors. Since 2011, they have been CEO and Co-Founder of EyeYon Medical, a start-up company specialized in developing medical ophthalmic devices. Nahum has been responsible for the development of two innovative, patent-protected technologies.
Nahum Ferera completed their matriculation certificate in Physical Sciences from Amal B in 1996-1999. Nahum then went on to earn their ENG BSc in Bio medical engineering from Tel Aviv University in 2005-2009. In 2010, they completed a CRA from GCP-ACADEMY in clinical affairs. Nahum then went on to earn their MBA from Tel Aviv University in 2010-2013. In 2014, they completed the Merage Leadership Program for Executives from the University of California, Irvine - The Paul Merage School of Business, focusing on the Merage Institute US-Israel Innovation Bridge program in Life Sciences. In 2019, they completed a Directors' course from Reichman University - Executive Education.
