We are excited to find an experienced, dynamic Vice President of People to lead our People team, drive our people strategy, and nurture and champion our culture. In this position, you will play a critical role in supporting a positive employee experience, strong organizational culture, and inclusive environment, where our most important asset – our people – can thrive in our remote/hybrid work setting. Reporting to the Chief Legal and People Officer, you will be a key strategic partner and advisor to the Management team, and provide leadership, strategic direction, and coaching to our People team which includes: People Business Partners, Learning & Development, Talent, People Operations and Total Rewards.

You will own and drive our people strategy, ensuring that it aligns with our business objectives. Working closely with the People leadership team and stakeholders across the company, you will define, champion and support the people and culture vision for our dynamic and growing organization. Your mission is to position ezCater for success by delivering a best-in-class experience and environment for our people, and helping us achieve our ambitious business goals.

What You'll Do:

In close partnership with People team leaders, you will be responsible for the following: 

  • Strategic People Leadership: Develop and implement People strategies that align with the company’s growth objectives, driving culture, performance, and employee engagement. 
  • Talent Acquisition and Retention: Drive innovative strategies to attract top-tier talent while providing a phenomenal candidate experience. Develop effective retention programs that emphasize career development, performance, and employee well-being.
  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: Help define a comprehensive DEI strategy to support our goals and ensure a focus on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in all areas of our business and culture. 
  • Culture and Employee Experience: Nurture and champion a company culture that ensures our people feel valued, engaged, and connected to ezCater’s mission. Enhance how we are measuring employee engagement and develop actionable recommendations to strengthen the productivity, effectiveness and morale of our team members. 
  • People Operations, Systems and Compliance: Streamline People processes to enhance efficiency, preserve data integrity and ensure compliance while also maintaining a high level of service to employees and leaders. Work closely with the Legal team to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulation, and stay informed of changing employment legislation. Manage the People Team budget, keeping our Chief Legal and People Officer informed of annual spend. 
  • Learning and Development: Design and implement learning and development programs that align with career growth and company objectives. Promote leadership development initiatives to strengthen management across all levels of the company.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Evolve and innovate on our competitive compensation, benefits, and rewards programs to attract and retain top talent.  Ensure these programs are scalable and beneficial to our people and their families. 
  • Organizational Development and Change Management: Drive organizational development efforts to support scalability, including workforce planning, succession planning, and change management initiatives that prepare the company for future growth.
  • Executive Leadership and Collaboration: Effectively partner with the Executive and extended leadership teams to provide strategic counsel on People matters, influence decision-making, and contribute to overall company success. 

What You Have:

  • Minimum 15+ years of People experience, including 5+ years of demonstrated success developing, leading and scaling a People function at a high-growth company ideally in the tech industry.
  • Strong understanding of people disciplines including talent acquisition, people operations, employee experience, learning and development, compensation, benefits, and DEI.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills with a passion for developing and inspiring high performance people teams. You give your people autonomy and offer continuous support and coaching, enabling them to grow and  thrive. 
  • A forward-thinking, people-centric approach with a proven record of developing and executing successful People strategies that drive business results. You have experience scaling People operations to support rapid growth and deep expertise building, implementing and innovating on practices that enhance the employee experience and align with company goals. 
  • Strategic thinker and leader, with a hands-on approach to problem solving and execution. 
  • A record of fostering collaborative team and company environments, encouraging others to contribute ideas and achieve an organization's best results. You know how to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels and get things done in a collaborative manner. 
  • A keen understanding of the power of communication and change management best practices. 
  • Served as a key strategic advisor and partner to Executive leadership teams
  • Strong business acumen with ability to align People initiatives with company goals and drive measurable results.
  • A high-level of professionalism, integrity, discretion, and adaptability.
  • Familiarity with people systems and software such as HRIS and ATS platforms; expertise with Ultipro and Greenhouse a plus
