Chamath Palihapitiya

Chamath Palihapitiya is a Board Member at Ezetap. Chamath was previously with Facebook as VP, User Growth, Mobile & International from January 2007 to June 2011. Chamath was responsible for overseeing core growth components, building new systems to maximize adoption and virality and growing Facebook adoption throughout the world. Chamath was also responsible for overseeing our mobile efforts. Prior to Facebook, Chamath was with Mayfield Fund as an Investor from January 2006 to December 2007 focused on investing primarily in Consumer Internet, Media and Advertising opportunities with a secondary focus on Games and Mobile. Before Mayfield, Chamath held various positions at AOL from January 2001 to December 2005 including Vice President & General Manager, AIM + ICQ where they led resurgence of two of the Internet' most visible and popular brands. Chamath revamped the entire brand, product and value proposition of AIM and closed many significant, high profile transactions. Chamath also oversaw ICQ team in Israel during their time at AOL. Prior to AOL, Chamath was with Winamp & Spinner.com as Product & Business Development from January 2000 to December 2001 and Associate - Interest Rate Derivatives Group at BMO Nesbitt Burns from January 1999 to December 2000.

Chamath Palihapitiya completed their undergraduate degree in electrical engineering with first class honours at the University of Waterloo.
