Thomas P. Fay

Mr. Fay is the Regional President of F.L.Putnam’s Providence, Rhode Island office and has over 35 years of industry experience. He serves as consultant to large institutional relationships on a national basis. Locally, Tom manages all business development efforts in RI, including leading the firm’s growth objectives and personnel. In addition to his role as Regional President, Tom serves as a senior member of the investment team, co-leading the Asset Allocation Committee and providing investment advisory and consulting services to clients in the Rhode Island market.

Before joining F.L.Putnam in 2019, Tom most recently served as Regional President Southern New England at BNY Mellon. Prior to that he was Head of Private Bank and Trust and Chief Investment Officer of Citizens Bank. Tom also held several senior investment roles at Bank of America, Fleet and Shawmut National Banks.

Mr. Fay lives in Barrington, Rhode Island with his wife and four sons and is a very active member in the community. In his free time, Tom enjoys boating and golfing. Tom is affiliated with several committees including Rhode Island State Investment Commission and St. Luke’s Church Finance Committee. He serves on the board at Providence Performing Arts Center and is a Chair of the Boys and Girls Club of Providence. He also teaches Finance as an adjunct professor at Providence College.
