Cheryl DeVallance has a diverse work experience in the field of design and development. Cheryl is currently working as a Designer at Botanical Designs since 2021. Prior to this, they were self-employed as a web and graphic designer, taking on contracts with companies such as The Seattle Times, Classmates, RealNetworks, and Microsoft. During this period, they successfully managed multiple clients and worked on creating corporate identities and designing printed media.
Before their self-employment, Cheryl worked at Dominion Marine Media, LLC as a Web Designer and Front-End Developer from 2012 to 2016. Here, they were responsible for designing and coding responsive websites and branding for yacht dealers and brokers using various technologies such as Adobe Creative Suite, HTML5, CSS3, PHP, WordPress, jQuery, and Javascript. Cheryl also implemented new design best practices, including sitemaps, wireframes, presentation formats, and revamped asset repositories.
Prior to Dominion Marine Media, LLC, Cheryl worked at drugstore.com as a Senior Web Designer from 2004 to 2011. Cheryl'sresponsibilities included creating banner ads, designing emails, producing illustrations, building logos, and branding for various projects. Cheryl also played a significant role in the redesign of the drugstore.com site.
Cheryl's career in design started at The Cobalt Group, where they worked as a Web Designer and Front-End Developer from 1999 to 2002. Here, they designed and produced automotive websites, templates, and animated banner ads. Cheryl was proficient in hand-coding HTML and had a strong design sense.
Throughout their career, Cheryl has demonstrated their expertise in design, front-end development, and project management. Cheryl possesses a wide range of technical skills and has successfully delivered high-quality design solutions for various industries.
Cheryl DeVallance, UXC received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design and Illustration from Western Washington University. Cheryl attended the university from 1988 to 1992. In addition to their degree, Cheryl obtained a UX Certification from the Nielsen Norman Group in October 2015.
