Calvin Bascom

Calvin Bascom has a diverse work experience in the software engineering and quality assurance field. Calvin started their career as a Test Engineer at the UNH InterOperability Lab in 1999. Calvin then worked as a Senior Test Engineer at Ellacoya from 2000 to 2002. Calvin joined Lucent Technologies as an SQA Engineer in 2002 and later moved to Enterasys in a similar role in 2003.

In 2004, Calvin joined Reva Systems as a Senior QA Engineer, where they were involved in designing and implementing automated test and simulation environments for RFID controller appliances. Calvin also worked as a Principal Software Engineer at Reva Systems, where they were responsible for maintaining components of RFID products and developing new features.

From 2010 to 2011, Calvin worked as a Senior SQA Engineer at Bluesocket, followed by roles as a Senior Software Engineer at ADTRAN from 2011 to 2014 and as a QA Architect at TraceLink from 2014 to 2016.

Since 2016, Calvin has been working at F5 in various roles, including Principal Test Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, and currently as a Principal Software Engineer.

Calvin Bascom earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of New Hampshire from 1996 to 2000. Calvin also obtained two additional certifications related to Kubernetes, namely Kubernetes Certified Application Developer (CKAD) with Tests and Kubernetes Challenges, from KodeKloud in 2022.
