John Shin

John Shin has over two decades of experience in technical engineering and solutions management, currently serving as the Director of Solutions Engineering for Modern Apps at F5 since January 2000. Prior roles at F5 included Sr. Systems Engineering Manager, Systems Engineering Manager for the MidAtlantic District, and Field Systems Engineer for both Federal and Commercial/Enterprise sectors. Responsibilities have centered on proposing application traffic management solutions and conducting presales evaluations. Additionally, from June 2001 to March 2004, John managed F5's product training program within EMEA operations and engaged in various engineering projects. Earlier experience includes serving as an Internet Security Engineer at UUNET from June 1998 to December 1999. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Mary Washington, completed in 1994.
