Rafael Guerrero

Rafael Guerrero is an experienced editor currently overseeing the editorial direction of The Welder for the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, Int'l (FMA) since April 2022. Guerrero has a robust background in journalism, having previously worked as a reporter for Tribune Publishing Company, where coverage included education news for various publications. Additional experience includes serving as an education reporter for the Yakima Herald-Republic and a statehouse reporter for the Chicago Tribune. Early career roles included reporting for The Daily Illini and as an intern at the Daily Herald and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Guerrero holds a Master's degree in Public Affairs Reporting from the University of Illinois Springfield and a Bachelor's degree in News-Editorial Journalism from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
