Fabrimetal is a privately-owned company located in the town of Viana, Angola, 25 km from the capital city of Luanda. Formed in 2006, Fabrimetal is the leading manufacturer of FM TMT® rebars, high-quality thermo mechanically-treated steel reinforcement bars used to construct residential, commercial, industrial, and civil structures.

A decade of experience to set up a network of steel manufacturing operations across sub-Saharan Africa in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola, Rwanda, Mali, and Gabon, and a deep understanding of the business, primed the company to meet a growing demand for steel rebars. Following an increasing presence in major markets, and systematic integration into local markets, commercial production of FM TMT® rebars launched in Angola in 2010.

Fabrimetal contributes to the country’s rapidly developing infrastructure by eliminating a dependence on imported rebars, supporting the growing construction industry, reducing environmental pollution, and providing employment for local Angolans.

Fabrimetal takes pride in recruiting and training local workers, helping to increase the financial stability of many local families, foster a great sense of pride in domestic production, and develop plans for the expansion of the company and its workforce.
