David Hirschler is the Chief Sustainability Officer at ERI, with over 10 years of experience in environmental management and sustainability. They previously held multiple leadership roles at the New York City Department of Sanitation, where they pioneered the e-cycleNYC program and oversaw significant waste prevention initiatives. Additionally, David served as Regional Recycling Coordinator for several towns in Massachusetts and as Solid Waste Coordinator for the City of Chelsea. They possess a Master of Arts in Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning from Tufts University and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science from Boston University. David is also a bilingual leader, fluent in English and Spanish, and serves on the board of FABSCRAP.
