Stijn Moons has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Stijn started their career as a PVT Chassis Engineer at Ford Motor Company in 1997 and later worked as a Quality Engineer at VCST Industrial Products in 1999. In 2000, they joined Facil as a Quality & Engineering Coordinator, where they served as the key contact to Ford Genk for all quality and engineering matters. Stijn then moved on to Hansen Transmissions International nv in 2006, where they worked as a Technical Key Account Manager, responsible for building long-term agreements with customers and managing commercial, logistic, technical, quality, and service-related issues. Stijn returned to Facil in 2008 as a Technical Director, overseeing quality and engineering for Ford and V3P customers in Europe. In 2012, they transitioned to the role of Vice President Quality and Engineering, responsible for global implementation of quality and engineering processes. Stijn became the VP of Advanced Service Development in 2014, where they set up a new department for generating and implementing new service concepts. Most recently, in 2020, Stijn became the Director of Strategy Office at Facil, where they survey and drives the implementation of strategic options and manages key projects for the growth and diversification of products and services.

Stijn Moons completed their Master's degree in Civil Engineering Mechanics from KU Leuven, where they studied from 1991 to 1995. Stijn then attended Université catholique de Louvain from 1996 to 1997, focusing on Business/Managerial Economics, although no degree was specified for this period. Stijn also earned a certification titled "What Is a PMO?" from LinkedIn in June 2022.
