Márcio Vinicius dos Santos

Márcio Vinicius dos Santos is currently the Co-Founder & CTO at Facio. Prior to this, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Amazon Web Services, where they were responsible for the engineering side of Machine Learning and training performance. Márcio also designed TensorFlow for AWS SageMaker during their time there. Before Amazon, Márcio worked as a Principal Software Engineer at Zocdoc, where they were the tech lead for the Dev tools team. Márcio's team was responsible for automating, simplifying and speeding up the CI deployment process, as well as simplifying the Zocdoc codebase and moving the CI environment from the datacenter to AWS. As a Principal Engineer, Márcio also restructured the Zocdoc infrastructure from a monolith application to a microservices oriented application hosted at AWS, defined the future Zocdoc architecture, and mentored developers. Márcio has also held positions as a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Kitchensurfing and a Full Stack Software Engineer at Zocdoc. Márcio started their career as a Lead Software Engineer at Rocket Internet GmbH and a Software Engineer at Abril Digital. Márcio has also worked as a System Architect at Yellow Box S.

Márcio Vinicius dos Santos has a BSc in Computer Science from USP (2005-2008) and a BSc in Economics from USP (2004-2005). Márcio has also completed the following Coursera courses: Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization; Structuring Machine Learning Projects; Neural Networks and Deep Learning; and Machine Learning.
