Waqas Hassan, PhD, is the Founder and CEO of Facit Data Systems, where Waqas successfully launched an international vision-based analytics company specializing in video compliance and data analytics for retail organizations. Waqas utilizes customized algorithms to provide sales intelligence on in-store consumer behaviors and leverages embedded systems engineering for vision technology. With a background as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Sussex, Waqas has experience in computer vision techniques for security and surveillance applications. Their education includes a Ph.D. in Engineering, an MS in Embedded Digital Systems, and a BS in Information Technology.
