Elizabeth Strand has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of design. Elizabeth began their career in 1999 as an Interaction Designer at Adcore, where they worked until 2001. Elizabeth then joined Interactiondesign as an Interaksjonsdesigner for a brief period in 1999 and 2000. From 2001 to 2011, they worked at NoA Ignite (previously Making Waves) in various roles, including Manager Interaction Design and Chief Experience Officer. During this time, they led customer projects, mentored and coached designers, and was responsible for designing the customer experience and client experience.
In 2013, Elizabeth joined Eika as a Senior Interaction Designer, where they served as the design lead on several digital banking services. Elizabeth coordinated internal and external teams and led the strategy and design efforts for the first digital webshops within insurance.
From 2015 to 2021, Elizabeth worked at If Insurance (If P&C Insurance). Elizabeth held multiple roles, including Head of Customer Experience, Commercial and Head of UX and Service Design. In these positions, they introduced design thinking and customer centricity, focused on digital services, and identified pain points in customer journeys. Elizabeth also led a team of designers and established UX research and design system practices within the company.
Most recently, Elizabeth joined Oda in 2021 as the Director of UX Design. Elizabeth was responsible for the design and development of software for internal systems, leading autonomous, cross-functional teams. Elizabeth also supported the development of designers and built a design community within the organization.

From 1994 to 1998, Elizabeth attended the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) where they earned a degree in Produktdesign (Product Design).
In 1993, Elizabeth attended Sinsen voksenopplæring for a year, where they studied Matte og fysikk (Mathematics and Physics) at a high school level. However, they did not obtain a degree during this time.
From 1992 to 1993, Elizabeth studied at the University of Oslo (UiO) where they took courses in Ex.phil (Introduction to Philosophy) and Engelsk grunnfag (English Basic Studies), but they did not graduate with a degree.
