Nikita Smeshko, CFA has over 10 years of work experience in the fields of finance and energy access. From 2021 to present, Nikita has served as the Strategy & Research Director at Factor[e] Ventures. From 2019 to 2021, Nikita was the Operations & Strategy Director - Mozambique at ENGIE Energy Access, where they co-founded the subsidiary and managed a staff of 4 direct reports and 40 incremental subordinates. From 2017 to 2019, Nikita was the Business Strategy Manager and Business Strategy Associate at Fenix International, a vertically integrated clean energy and financial inclusion social enterprise. From 2016 to 2017, Nikita was the Finance at Solaris Offgrid (formerly Eternum Energy), a social enterprise focused on providing software and consulting services to companies looking to serve the rural Sub-Saharan customer. From 2010 to 2016, Nikita was the Portfolio Manager and Fixed Income Trade Support Specialist at EARNEST Partners, a privately held global institutional investment firm with over $20 billion under management. In 2009, Nikita completed two independent research projects at the College of Agricultural and Applied Economics and the Terry College of Business.
