Alejandro Sánchez Aristizábal

Alejandro Sánchez Aristizábal has been working in the technology and engineering field since 2012. Alejandro began their career as a Systems and Customer Service Assistant at Visinet Vistación in 2012. In 2014, they became a Teacher Assistant in Numerical Analysis and Numerical Processes at Universidad EAFIT. In 2016, they worked as an Android Developer Intern at Mobilebutterfly and as an Intern in the IT / Sales and Marketing Department at Volkswagen AG. In 2017, they worked as a Research Assistant at Universidad EAFIT. In 2019, they joined Lacuna AI Fellowship as a ML Bootcamper and Factored as a Machine Learning Engineer, later becoming a Machine Learning Engineer III and finally a ML Tech Lead. During their time at Factored, they have implemented solutions for feature importance analysis, customer segmentation, trend forecasting, requests/predictions parallelization, concept analysis from unstructured text and satellite images augmentation.

Alejandro Sánchez Aristizábal has a diverse educational background. Alejandro obtained a National and International High School degree from Colegio Alemán de Medellín between 1999 and 2011. Alejandro then went on to pursue a Systems Engineer degree from Universidad EAFIT between 2012 and 2016, followed by a Master in Engineering with emphasis on Big Data/IoT from the same university between 2017 and 2019. Alejandro also completed a course in Informatics at Technische Universität Dresden between 2015 and 2016. In addition, they have obtained two professional certifications from Databricks - Databricks Certified Machine Learning Professional and Databricks Certified Machine Learning Associate - in July and June 2022, respectively.
