Juan M. Gutierrez

Juan M. Gutierrez has been working in the field of Machine Learning since 2019, when they joined Factored as a Tech Lead - Machine Learning. During their time there, they also served as a Machine Learning Engineer and participated in the AIFund's Lacuna Artificial Intelligence Fellowship program, in which they were trained in topics such as Statistics, Databases, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Computer Science, Distributed Computing, Cloud Computing, Visualization, Neural Network Diagnosis, Transfer Learning, and Version Control. Additionally, they participated in three Kaggle competitions.

Prior to Factored, Juan worked at Bancolombia as a Data Scientist from 2018 to 2019, where they designed and built ETLs and database models for customer experience using Big Data technologies, created reports, dashboards, and visualizations in PowerBI, and developed a Python framework for quickly finding insights and analyzing relationships between variables.

From 2017 to 2018, Juan worked at Contento BPS S.A. as a Business Intelligence Leader, where they built and developed the data infrastructure and analytical capabilities of the company, especially in the area of credit collections. Juan M. also led a team of four analysts and interacted with internal stakeholders and clients.

From 2016 to 2017, Juan worked at Celerix S.A.S. as an Information and Actuary Analyst and Intern. During their time there, they helped develop the credit score model of the company, developed techniques for financial KPI projections, built dashboards for collections management using SAP Business Intelligence platforms, built reports for commercial and credit collections managers, and developed the commission model for credit collection employees.

Juan M. Gutierrez obtained a Bachelor's degree in Management Engineering from Escuela de Ingeniería de Antioquia between 2012 and 2017. Juan M. then went on to complete a Specialization in Analytics from Universidad Nacional de Colombia between 2018 and 2019.
