Steven Salgado González

Steven Salgado González has a background in analytics engineering and data analysis. In 2022, they began working as an Analytics Engineer and Data Analyst for Factored. In 2020, they began working as an Analista de Datos y Desarrollador Web/Movil at Koralat, where they developed technological solutions based on data analytics and web development using Python, React, and JavaScript. During this time, they achieved a successful completion of a sample management system for the Colombian Geological Service and proposed strategies based on analytics for the use of business data in a laboratory to solve geolocation problems. In 2018, they worked as a Young Researcher at the National University of Colombia, where they conducted research in nanotechnology and quantum dots, produced new knowledge, and completed extension projects for companies such as Ecopetrol. Steven also worked as a Production Intern at Occidental, where they helped with the tasks of the production engineer and learned about the processes in the field. During this time, they achieved an increase in production of two wells of around 40% through an analysis project of flow reduction, studying the associated time series to the production of each well. Steven also learned to manage a large flow of data from the production information of each well in the Caño Limón field.

Steven Salgado González has a comprehensive education history. From 2013 to 2019, they earned an Ingeniero de Petróleos degree from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. From 2016 to 2020, they earned a Grado en Ingeniería degree in Ingeniería química from the same university. Currently, they are pursuing a Maestría in Análisis de Datos from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
