Raimund Koerver has extensive experience in the automotive industry, specifically in the field of battery cell technology. Raimund worked at BMW Group from 2018 to 2022, where they held the role of R&D Project Manager Battery Cell Technology. In this position, they focused on next-generation batteries, including solid-state batteries, lithium metal, and silicon anode. Raimund was responsible for initiating and managing international battery cell development projects with various stakeholders, such as material suppliers, start-ups, and scientific institutions. Raimund also played a crucial role in negotiating project content, structuring project plans, and coordinating meetings with project partners. Raimund Koerver exhibited strong leadership skills by setting up and coordinating a working team for a specific project related to solid-state batteries. Additionally, they contributed to technology scouting initiatives, analyzing suppliers and competitors and providing strategic briefings to upper management. Raimund Koerver also served as the BMW representative in the BMBF research cluster FESTBATT from November 2019. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Application Engineering (Director) at Factorial Energy, starting in 2022.

Raimund Koerver completed their education in the field of Chemistry. Raimund obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Ruhr University Bochum in 2013. Raimund then pursued a Master's Degree in Chemistry from the same university, graduating in 2015. During this time, they also completed their Master's thesis at Monash University in 2014. Raimund went on to pursue a Doctorate in Physical Chemistry at Justus Liebig University Giessen from 2015 to 2018.

In addition to their formal education, Raimund obtained several certifications related to their field of study. In 2017, they completed a workshop on the German-Israeli Battery School offered by Justus Liebig University Giessen. Raimund also participated in the 649th WE-Heraeus-Seminar on 'In-operando characterization of energy materials', organized by the Wilhelm und Else Heraeus-Stiftung. Furthermore, Raimund attended the SCCER Summer School on Energy Storage in Batteries - Materials, Systems and Manufacturing, conducted by the Swiss Competence Center for Energy Research.
