Tony Convery

Tony Convery is a legal professional with extensive experience in litigation, academia, and human rights. Currently serving as a Devil at the Faculty of Advocates since October 2024, Tony has also contributed to the University of Glasgow as a Constitutional Law tutor since August 2019, alongside previous tutoring roles in various legal subjects. With a background that includes positions as Associate and Senior Solicitor at Brodies LLP, Tony has focused on government, regulation, and competition litigation. Additional roles include Legal Advisor for ADNOC Group, Deputy Convenor for the Scottish Legal Action Group, and work as a Research Assistant for a European Court of Human Rights project at the University of Glasgow. Tony's international experience includes a stagiaire position at the Council of Europe and teaching ECHR courses to Belarusian students. A graduate of the University of Glasgow with a Bachelor's Degree in Law and a Diploma in Professional Legal Practice, Tony also managed web services for various clients and held supervisory roles in retail prior to pursuing a legal career.
