Skilbrei May-Len

Skilbrei May-Len is an esteemed academic and researcher with extensive experience in sociology, criminology, and law. Since June 2013, Skilbrei has held the position of Professor at the University of Oslo. Concurrently, Skilbrei has served as a Research Professor and Managing Director at the Fafo Institute for Applied International Studies since March 2010, and has been the Editor of Sosiologi i dag since January 2006. Previous roles include membership on the Management Committee of EastBordNet from 2008 to 2012 and serving as a Board member at the Kilden Informasjonssenter for kjønnsforskning from 2008 to 2010. Skilbrei's academic journey began with a postdoctoral position at the University of Oslo from 2003 to 2005 and earlier research at the Norsk institutt for forskning om oppvekst, velferd og aldring from 1998 to 2003. Skilbrei earned a PhD in Sociology, Criminology, and Law from the University of Oslo between 1990 and 2003.
