Kerry Docherty's work experience begins in 2008 when they worked as a Law Clerk at the ACLU. During this time, they conducted legal research on immigration rights and racial justice. Kerry also drafted memoranda on the treatment of disabled prisoners and an American citizen subjected to indefinite detention in Iraq. Kerry interviewed inmates on overcrowding in Los Angeles County jails. In 2009, they became a Law Clerk at U.S. Magistrate Joan M. Azrack, where they drafted judicial opinions and assisted with administrative tasks. Kerry stayed in this position until 2011 when they founded and became President of The Mindful Mentors. Kerry held this role until 2015. In 2013, they co-founded Faherty Brand and became the Chief Impact Officer. Kerry'swork with Faherty Brand continues to the present.
Kerry Docherty has a diverse educational background. They began their education in 2001 at Yale University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. After completing their undergraduate studies in 2005, Kerry went on to enroll in Pepperdine Law School from 2006 to 2009, where they obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree. In 2010, they continued to pursue their education by attending the International Trauma Studies Program, earning a Certificate in Trauma Studies and Psychosocial Interventions in 2011.
