Matt Paul Catalano has been working as a self-employed Web Developer and Designer since 1997. Matt Paul initially started by building an e-commerce platform for a local plumbing & HVAC supply company and later worked on various projects, ranging from front end sites for marketing companies to backend databases for police departments. In 2003, they also started working as a Cinematographer and Photographer, focusing on surf and ocean visuals. Their notable projects include collaborations with Surfer Magazine, HBO Sports, Vans, Patagonia, CNN, and BBC. In 2012, Catalano joined Faherty Brand, where they worked in Creative, Content Production, and Web. Matt Paul then worked at IBM from 2005 to 2012, first as an SAP FICO Consultant and later as a Web Developer and Designer. At IBM, they designed and built an innovative platform to manage IBM Global Learning Delivery and managed a team of developers in the US and India. Throughout their career, Catalano has demonstrated a strong background in web development, design, and content creation, particularly in the field of surf and ocean visuals.

Matt Paul Catalano attended Wake Forest University from 2000 to 2002, although no specific degree or field of study is provided.
