Sara Barrento

Sara Barrento is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in e-learning, education, and research relating to sustainable food systems. Currently, as Head of E-Learning at FAI, Sara focuses on enhancing the welfare and sustainability of animal food supply chains across multiple continents. In parallel, as an Honorary Lecturer at Swansea University, Sara contributes to the design of undergraduate learning modules and online courses while managing projects and enhancing science communication. Sara's past roles include Communication & Marketing Manager at GMTBIKING, Project Manager at Swansea University, and various postdoctoral research positions with a focus on aquaculture and marine biology. With a Licenciatura in Marine Biology and Fisheries, a Doctorate in Animal Science, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education, Sara has published extensively and engaged in significant international teaching and research initiatives.
