Catelene Passchier has extensive experience in labor rights and trade union leadership, currently serving as Chairperson of the Workers' Group and Vice-chair of the Governing Body at the International Labour Organization since June 2017. In addition, Catelene Passchier chairs the National Contact Point for the OECD Guidelines in the Netherlands and has been an Independent Member of the NCP since February 2018. Involvement with the Fair Wear Foundation as a board member began in February 2017. Previous roles include special adviser to the president and vice president at FNV, where service spanned from September 2010 to January 2021, and confederal secretary with the European Trade Union Confederation from 2003 to 2010. Catelene Passchier started a legal career as a lawyer and legal advisor before transitioning to policy and trade union engagement. Education includes a Master's degree in Dutch law from the University of Utrecht, obtained between 1972 and 1978.
