Fair Worlds
Andy Slater is an experienced sound designer with a strong background in audio production and accessibility. Currently serving as a Sound Designer and Access Lead at Fair Worlds since June 2020, Andy also contributes to the Chicago Artist Census in research and development and is involved in the Disability Culture Leadership Initiative at 3Arts. With a long history at Frogg Mountain Recording Studio as a recording engineer since June 2012, Andy specializes in production for various media, utilizing tools like Pro Tools and Ableton. Previous roles include being an artist with SoVISA, a brand ambassador for Harman JBL, and the station manager at Free Radio SAIC, where significant training and workshop facilitation were provided. Andy holds a master's degree in Sound Arts and Industries from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sound from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
