Robert Shields

Robert Shields is an experienced professional currently serving as a STEAM Club coach for the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District since November 2022. As the Executive Director of the Alliance for Reason and Knowledge since April 2008, Robert leads a grassroots organization focused on educating and empowering individuals to effect positive change. Previous roles include CEO of Real Smart Financials from November 2018 to November 2022, where Robert connected financial resources with various industries in Alaska, and Business Development Manager at Real Smart Development and Sustainable Solutions Unlimited, both pivotal in promoting sustainable practices. Robert holds an AA degree in Natural Resource Management from Sterling College, earned between 1995 and 1998.
